Day long programs to celebrate Pohela Boishakh-1417 at University of Chittagong (CU)

Administration of Chittagong University has been taken huge program plan for celebrating upcoming Bangla Nobobarsha, Pohela Boishakh-1417 (14th April, 2010). The program schedules are as follows: 1)The University campus and campus adjacent area will be lighted according to traditional Bengali culture. 2)Famous Bengali village entertainment such as Boli Khela, Lathi Khela, Ha-du-du, Gorur Lorai (Bull Fight), Nagordola, Sapure Nritta (Snake Charming), Dhol, Bashi, Puthi Path, Kobi Gaan, Baul Gaan, Ghuri (Kite) Utsob, Putul Nach and Boishakhi Mela will be arranged. 3)To highlight Lokojo culture at Pohela Boishakh in the stage of Bangla Nobobarsha the following programs will be telecast: Polligiti, Vawaiya, Lalongiti, Regional song of Chittagong, Gamvira, JatraPala etc. Besides Kiron Chondra Roi and Chondona Majumder will perform in the program as guest artist. 4)To encourage Lokojo and Grameen shilpa the University authority will be arranged special exhibition such as Taat shilpa, Mrittika shilpa, Khadi shilpa etc. 5)Famous Bengali Village various kind of Pitha (cake), foods and sweetmeats of different parts of the country will be available in stall. 6)Those who are interested with the above point of (4) and (5) are requested to contact immediately with the Professor Dr. Joshim Uddin (Mobile No.01819387122). 7)Former students of Chittagong University are also cordially invited.
